On July 31, the China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance (EVCIPA) released its latest data showing explosive growth in China's charging infrastructure during the first half of 2025. It reached 3.282 million units, a year-on-year increase of 99.2%, almost doubling. Among them, the increase in public charging facilities totaled 517,000, an increase of 30.6% YoY, and the increase in private charging facilities stood at 2.765 million, surging 120.8% YoY.
The EVCIPA pointed out that from January to June, the increase in charging infrastructure was 3.282 million units, and the domestic sales of EVs totaled 5.878 million units. The incremental ratio of charging infrastructures to EVs is 1:1.8, and the construction of charging infrastructure can basically meet the rapid development of EVs.
According to the institution's data, as of June, total charging points reached 16.1 million units, a year-on-year increase of 55.6%. Among them, there were 4.096 million public charging facilities (guns), a year-on-year increase of 36.7% and 12.04 million private charging facilities, moving up 63.3% YoY.
