Brazil finalises AD measures on stainless pipes from India, Taiwan

Brazil has determined to levy anti-dumping (AD) duties on welded austenitic stainless steel pipes of circular cross-section originating from India and Taiwan for up to five years, with rates of $397.4-1,207.1/tonne for India and $1,258.8/t for Taiwan, according to a release from the Executive Committee of the Brazilian Foreign Trade Chamber (GECEX) on July 28.

This came in response to a petition initiated by Brazilian Aperam Inox Tubos Brasil Ltda. on January 31 2024. The targeted products include 304-grade stainless pipes with an outside diameter above or at 6mm and a thickness above or at 0.4mm, while 316-grade pipes with an outside diameter below or
