Indonesia's coke exports jump 50.3% YoY in June

Indonesia exported a total of 659,644 tonnes of coke in June, including both metallurgical coke and semi-coke, marking a sharp rise of 50.3% on year despite a 2.6% fall from May, according to data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS).

Coke shipments to India, the top destination, reached 237,559 tonnes in June, down by 25.3% on year but up substantially by 102.3% on month, the BPS data showed. India produced 13.6 million tonnes of crude steel in June, up by 13.3% on year, data from the World Steel Association showed.
