On August 21, Jinchuan Group and Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) held a signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation framework agreement. Cheng Yonghong, International Business Director of Jinchuan Group, and Man Hau-chung, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at PolyU, represented their respective institutions in signing the agreement.
European Academy of Sciences Fellow and UK Royal Academy of Engineering Fellow Kin-ho Lin outlined the collaboration's framework. The partnership will focus on green and low-carbon technology R&D and new materials development for nickel, copper, cobalt, and rare/precious metals. Both parties will advance industry innovation through diversified approaches, including jointly establishing innovation platforms, conducting collaborative technological research, accelerating commercialization of achievements, and enhancing talent cultivation.
