On August 23, news broke that BYD held the launch event for the all-new BYD Seal in Malaysia on August 22, during which it announced plans to establish a local complete knock-down (CKD) assembly plant in the country, expected to officially commence production in 2026. On the same day, BYD's 36th Wing Hin outlet also opened, bringing the total number of BYD and Denza brand stores in Malaysia to 43.

The launch of the all-new BYD Seal will continue to win the favor of more consumers. At the same time, the initiation of the CKD assembly plant construction marks BYD's entry into a new era in Malaysia.

Among these, electric passenger vehicle sales reached 177,887 units, while plug-in hybrid passenger vehicle sales totaled 163,143 units. In July 2025, BYD exported a total of 80,737 EVs.
