Indonesian coal miners yet to seek RKAB revision amid sluggish market

No coal companies in Indonesia have submitted revisions to their 2026 Work Plan and Budget, known as RKAB, to lower their production targets, despite headwinds of weaker demand from China and India, the two largest buyers of Indonesian coal.
"So far, no companies have adjusted their production plans in response to weaker demand," said Surya Herjuna, Director of Coal Business Development at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) on September 2, according to a Bloomberg report.   This came despite ESDM's instruction urging domestic coal producers to submit
