On September 1, TAILG, Chilwee, and Huayou Cobalt convened a strategic cooperation meeting at Huayou's Quzhou Industrial Park to deepen integration across the sodium battery supply chain and build a collaborative, innovative ecosystem for mutual benefit.
Lu Wenyan, Rotating Executive Deputy General Manager of TAILG Technology Group's Domestic Marketing Division, expressed gratitude to Huayou for hosting the event. He emphasized that sodium battery technology is key to transitioning the two-wheeler EV industry from "price competition" to "value innovation."
Fan Ming, General Manager of Chilwee Group's Anqing Chaoren Energy Technology Co., noted that the tripartite collaboration would form a "strategic triangle" spanning "core raw materials -- small power batteries -- end-user markets," achieving seamless integration from mineral resources to terminal applications.
Xu Wei, Senior Vice President of Huayou Cobalt and President of Huayou New Materials Group, stated that Huayou will leverage its Guangxi and Quzhou campuses as demonstration bases to promote sodium battery adoption in two- and three-wheelers across diverse internal scenarios, accelerating commercial deployment.
The meeting included test rides and a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Six TAILG electric vehicles equipped with sodium batteries completed an inaugural ride, demonstrating superior performance in power output, stable range, and low-temperature operation.
