According to data released by the London Metal Exchange (LME), nickel inventories have accelerated their accumulation over the past two weeks. On September 16, LME nickel stocks increased by 1,950 tonnes to reach 226,400 tonnes -- the highest level in four years.
Throughout 2024, LME nickel inventories rose by approximately 96,000 tonnes. The largest monthly increase occurred in February 2025, with a jump of about 22,000 tonnes. Notably, within just the first half of September 2025, inventories already climbed by 17,000 tonnes.
