Iron ore shipments to China via Port Hedland dip further in August

The volume of iron ore shipped to China in August from Port Hedland, the top iron ore dispatch terminal in Western Australia, dropped for the second straight month to 38.7 million tonnes, down by 0.8% on month and by 5% on year, latest data released by the Pilbara Ports Authority (PPA) show.

The falling iron ore shipments from Port Hedland to China in the past two months actually epitomized the country's weaker appetite for iron ore imports from Australia.
