CAAM: China's auto market sustains upward momentum in Sept

China's automobile market gained further strength in September, the traditional peak season for car sales, buoyed by new model launches from carmakers, continued impacts of vehicle subsidy policies, as well as Beijing’s ramped-up efforts in cracking down on excessive competitions in key industries including automobiles, according to the latest release by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) on October 14.

During September, China's automobile output jumped by 16.4% on month and 17.1% on year to reach 3.28 million units, while sales also rose by 12.9% on month and 14.9% on year to 3.23 million units, the CAAM data showed. Over January-September, the country's total automobile output increased by 13.3% on
