China's lithium carbonate imports stood at 19,600 tonnes in September, down 10.3% month-on-month but up 20.5% year-on-year, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. The imports from Chile amounted to 10,800 tonnes, down 30.8% month-on-month and 22.5% year-on-year. The imports from Argentina reached 6,948 tonnes, up 63.4% month-on-month and 242.9% year-on-year.
China's imports of lithium carbonate from January to September totaled 173,000 tonnes, an decrease of 5.2% YoY. Specially, the imports from Chile totaled 113,400 tonnes, down 13.0% YoY. The imports from Argentina was 49,500 tonnes, up 60% YoY.
