Mongolia's coal output reaches record high in September

Mongolia's production of all types of coal reached a record monthly high of 9.2 million tonnes in September, jumping 15.9% from August and by 15.2% from September last year, according to the latest data from Mongolia's National Statistical Office (NSO).
  By type, output of hard coal – mainly coking coal for steelmaking – totalled 8.16 million tonnes in September, up 10.1% from August and 17.9% from the year-ago level. Meanwhile, output of lignite coal – a lower grade used in power generation – jumped 22.2% on month to 1.05
