Ho Chi Minh City, November 7, 2025 - The Vietnam Steel Industry Conference 2025, jointly organized by Mysteel Vietnam and the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA), was successfully held at the Tan Son Nhat Pavillon 5* Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

The conference marked Mysteel's inaugural international event, focusing on localized operations and addressing Vietnam's steel industry needs, making it a milestone for the company's global outreach.

 

Over 270 representatives from Vietnam's steel industry gathered to discuss sustainable development, market trends, green transformation, and supply chain optimization.  under the theme "Vietnam Steel Industry - Towards Sustainable Development".  The conference aimed to drive collaboration and growth, helping Vietnam's steel sector thrive globally. help the Vietnamese steel industry build a new paradigm for sustainable development in the global competitive landscape.

In his opening address, Mr. Jiang Hao, Representative of Mysteel Vietnam and Business General Manager of Mysteel Global, welcomed participants and partners, honouring the collaboration with VSA.  He highlighted Mysteel Vietnam's mission: connecting data, promoting trade, and spreading cooperation opportunities. Amidst global supply chain shifts,, he emphasized that market data and information connection will become the foundation to help Vietnamese enterprises improve their competitiveness and adapt flexibly to fluctuations.

Mr. Nghiem Xuan Da, Chairman of the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA), affirmed in his speech that the workshop provided a vital platform for industry enterprises to exchange information, share experiences, strengthen linkages, and enhance efficiency, collectively promoting sustainable development across the entire value chain. He highlighted the crucial role of associations, organizations, and enterprises in providing strategic direction, mutual support, and jointly fostering industry growth.

The morning session began with a report by Mr. Dinh Quoc Thai, Vice President and General Secretary of VSA, titled "Overview of Vietnam's Steel Market in 2025 and Outlook for 2026-2027". He emphasized that in the context of deep integration, effective industrial support policies are essential for Vietnamese steel enterprises to solidify their competitiveness and achieve stable and sustainable development.

 

Ms. Hoang Thuy Dung, Representative of Mysteel Vietnam, analyzed the latest dynamics in the Chinese steel market, including price trends, production levels, and regional regulatory policies, and elaborated on their short-term and medium-term impacts on the Vietnamese market.

 

From a supporting industry perspective, Mr. Le Phung Thang, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Mechanical Enterprises (VAMI), shared insights on the machinery manufacturing sector as a key driver for domestic steel consumption and material localization. He believes the synergy  between  machinery and steel industries  will drive Vietnam's transition to green production, fostering a more resilient value chain.

 

Dr. Vu Xuan Dung, Representative of BCONS Group from the construction sector provided a detailed assessment of the infrastructure and housing market outlook. He suggested that despite signs of soft demand, public investment and emerging urban segments remain key drivers, opening a stable development path for the construction steel industry.

 

Sharing practical experience from the production front line, Mr. Le Viet, General Director of Southern Steel Company Limited - VNSTEEL, explained flexible coping strategies amidst fluctuating raw material prices and soft construction demand, stressing the commitment to maintaining operational efficiency and responsibility to the domestic market.

 

Concluding the morning agenda, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Ninh, Director of Oil and Gas Services and Bulk Cargo at Vantage Logistics Joint Stock Company, introduced sustainable logistics models serving the green steel supply chain, helping businesses reduce costs, optimize operations, lower emissions, and move towards the goal of a green, clean, and efficient value chain.

 

Explored long-term strategies, focusing on global trends, digital transformation, and tech innovation - key to green competitiveness.Ms. Vu Thi Xoan, Strategic Development Director of Stavian Industrial Metal Joint Stock Company, shared insights on building a resilient Vietnamese steel supply chain, highlighting local enterprises' role in developing the value chain and adapting to emissions and traceability standards.

 

Mr. Dang Ngoc Thanh, Business Manager of Danieli Vietnam Co., Ltd., provided an in-depth interpretation of the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) policy and introduced Danieli's globally promoted solutions for low-carbon steelmaking, production line automation, and scrap recycling.

 

From a digital technology perspective, Ms. To Le, Sales & Solution Consultant at Yonyou Network Vietnam Co., Ltd., elaborated on the application of Artificial Intelligence in managing the scrap steel - billet supply chain. She highlighted AI's impact on transparency, efficiency, and decision-making, showcasing digital tech's potential to transform steel production and data management.

 

The Vietnam-China Business Networking Workshop, a highlight of the conference, drew strong interest and participation later that afternoon.Mr. Jiang Hao, Representative of Mysteel Vietnam and Business General Manager of Mysteel Global, delivered the opening remarks, extending a sincere welcome to all participants and partners. In his speech, he said the workshop aimed to create a practical dialogue platform for Chinese and Vietnamese steel companies, fostering mutual benefit and exploring cooperation opportunities amidst global trade.

Mysteel steel analysts provided deep-dive analyses of the close trade links and development dynamics between the Chinese and Vietnamese steel industries in recent years from both market perspectives, emphasizing the strong industrial complementarity and broad potential for future cooperation.

 

During the corporate presentation segment, representatives from ten Chinese companies took the stage , providing detailed introductions of their respective core strengths and business advantages. The networking session that followed was lively, with Chinese and Vietnamese companies discussing trade cooperation, tech synergy, and supply chain optimization.

The workshop successfully created precise communication channels for enterprises in the Chinese and Vietnamese steel industries, opening up broad prospects for cooperation in trade, technology transfer, and regional supply chain synergy.
