On November 18, the latest data from the General Administration of Customs showed that China imported 87.38 million lithium-ion batteries in October 2025, a year-on-year increase of 11.9%. From January to October, cumulative imports reached 756.22 million units, up 15.4% compared to the same period last year.
In October, China exported 404.98 million lithium-ion batteries, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 17.2%. During the January-October period, cumulative exports totaled 3.80477 billion units, marking an 18.9% rise from the same period a year earlier.
