CISA: Members' Jan-Oct crude steel output declines 1.8% YoY

Crude steel production among member mills of the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) declined by 1.8% on year to 682 million tonnes during January-October of 2025, according to the data released by the association on November 17.

In October alone, CISA member mills produced 63.7 million tonnes of crude steel, down 6.7% on year. The significant decline in October widened the cumulative drop in output from 1.3% in the first nine months to 1.8% over the 10-month period, Mysteel Global noted.
