NBS: Crude steel output in China's key steel hubs falls 2.4% YoY over Jan-Feb

Crude steel production among China's top 10 steelmaking provinces and autonomous regions declined by 2.4% on year to 118.07 million tonnes in the first two months of 2026, according to the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) published on March 19.

The decline was smaller than the 3.6% fall in China's total crude steel output during January-February that reached 160.34 million tonnes, as Mysteel Global has reported.
