China's lithium carbonate imports stood at 23,800 tonnes in October, up 21.9% month-on-month and 3.0% year-on-year, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. The imports from Chile amounted to 14,800 tonnes, up 37% month-on-month but down 17.2% year-on-year. The imports from Argentina reached 7,274 tonnes, up 4.7% month-on-month and 51.8% year-on-year.
China's imports of lithium carbonate from January to October totaled 196,900 tonnes, an increase of 4.9% YoY. Specially, the imports from Chile totaled 128,200 tonnes, down 13.5% YoY. The imports from Argentina was 56,700 tonnes, up 58.9% YoY.
