GACC: China's alumina imports soar 216% MoM in October

China’s alumina imports -- including metallurgical-grade and other types -- reached 189,326 tonnes in October, marking the highest monthly volume so far this year. The total surged 215.6% from September and jumped sharply from just 6,253 tonnes in the same month of 2024, according to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs (GACC).

Total alumina imports over January-October came to 737,741 tonnes, down 43.5% from the same period last year, the GACC data showed.
