NEA: China's installed power capacity jumps 17.3% on year by end-Oct

China's total installed electricity generation capacity reached 3.75 billion kilowatts (kW) as of the end of October, up by 17.3% from the year-ago level, according to the latest data released by the country's National Energy Administration (NEA) on November 24.
Among the total, the installed capacity of solar power posted the largest increase, surging by 43.8% on year to 1.14 billion kW, while that of thermal power, primarily coal-based power, reached 1.51 billion kW, up by 6% from end-October 2024, according to the NEA data.     China's newly-installed capacity of all
