From mid-October to mid-to-late November, the shipment volume and frequency of Australian lithium concentrate remained relatively stable, with port operations in Bunbury maintaining a high level of activity. During this period, shipments to the Chinese market were relatively low for two weeks, but one shipment of lithium concentrate was dispatched from the Port of Hedland to Indonesia each time.
Based on monthly shipment data, Australian lithium concentrate shipments typically see significant growth at the end of the quarter. It is expected that lithium concentrate shipments in November will remain relatively stable compared to October.
According to Mysteel's tracking data, Australia shipped approximately 369,000 tonnes of spodumene concentrate in November 2025, exceeding the monthly average for 2025 by 17%. Notably, about 97,000 tonnes of this volume were concentrated in a single week. Based on the current shipment schedule, November's spodumene concentrate imports are projected to show a slight month-on-month increase. Additionally, a shipment of approximately 40,000 tonnes of lithium concentrate that departed from Mali in September successfully arrived in early November.
