Vulcan Energy has secured nearly $2.5 billion in funding to build Europe's largest lithium production project, according to a statement on December 3.
Exchange filings indicate that the first phase of the German Lionheart lithium project aims for an annual production capacity of 24,000 tonnes of lithium. All offtake contracts for the first decade have been signed, with the lithium produced in the first phase sufficient to meet the annual demand for approximately 500,000 electric vehicles.
