China's lithium ore imports rose 11.9% month on month to 729,500 tonnes in November, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. Specially, imports from Australia reached 425,000 tonnes, up 44.0% from the previous month and 41.5% year-on-year. Meanwhile, imports from Zimbabwe dropped to 110,000 tonnes, down 28.0% month-on-month and 2.3% year-on-year. Imports from Nigeria reached 92,000 tonnes, a decrease of 16.4% compared with the previous period; and 73,000 tonnes were imported from Mali.
Moreover, China's total lithium ore imports reached 6.957 million tonnes from January to November 2025, up 37.1% year-on-year.
