On December 22, the groundbreaking ceremony for the EVE Sodium Energy Headquarters and Jinyuan Robot AI Center project was officially held at Zone D of EVE Lithium Energy's headquarters in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province.
It is reported that in the sodium-ion battery sector, the project involves a total investment of approximately Yuan 10 billion and a planned total construction area of about 90,000 square meters. With a planned annual capacity of 2 GWh, the project aims to create an innovation platform integrating R&D, pilot-scale testing, and mass production. Concurrently, the project plans to develop sodium battery products characterized by trace-free and non-combustible features. Leveraging advantages such as wide temperature range adaptability, high-rate capability, long cycle life, and high safety, the initiative seeks to establish a new energy storage technology that coexists deeply with Earth's ecology while ensuring safety and sustainability. Among these, the trace-free sodium battery products are designed for self-degradation without the need for recycling through the use of low-carbon materials. When paired with wind and solar power generation, they can achieve the goal of zero-carbon sodium batteries, efficiently empowering AIDC scenarios.
In the AI and robotics sectors, the investment amount has not been disclosed. EVE Energy stated that upon completion, the park will become a leading domestic integration base for sodium battery industrialization and AI and robotics innovation applications.
