According to China Customs statistics, China's imports of cobalt contained in MHP in December 2025 amounted to 2,788.44 tonnes. This represents a decrease of 8.34% month-on-month and an increase of 23.85% year-on-year. From January to December 2025, the cumulative import volume of cobalt contained in MHP reached 31,886.58 tonnes, marking a cumulative growth of 32.56% YoY. Indonesia was the largest source of imports, with a volume of 2,374.70 tonnes, accounting for 85.16% of the total imports.
