On January 26, Dongying Hi-tech Spring Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. announced that the company and BYD signed the Long-Term Cooperation Agreement and Hubei Project Pipeline Transmission Cooperation Agreement on January 23, 2026. The agreement is valid for three years. During its term, Hi-tech Spring will supply at least 100,000 tonnes per year of the contracted products to BYD's Hubei project via pipeline transmission.
BYD's Hubei project plans to procure four types of solvents from Hi-tech Spring, including Dimethyl Carbonate (DMC), Ethylene Carbonate (EC), Ethyl Methyl Carbonate (EMC), and Diethyl Carbonate (DEC). For these four solvents, Hi-tech Spring guarantees that its production capacity will meet BYD's annual demand of at least 100,000 tonnes for the Hubei project.
