Recently, Tinci Materials has completed construction and begun operation of the Yuan 12 billion investment project for an annual production capacity of 200,000 tonnes of lithium battery electrolyte and 100,000 tonnes of lithium battery recycling. This development further strengthens the new energy battery industry chain in Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province.
According to reports, the project is located in Xinhui District, Jiangmen, Guangdong, and commenced construction in December 2022. With a total planned land area of approximately 190 mu, the facility is expected to achieve an annual output value of around Yuan 5.7 billion once fully operational and running stably. A key highlight of the project is its integrated design that combines electrolyte production with battery recycling.
Within the recycling segment, the planned annual capacity for processing 100,000 tonnes of lithium batteries will be implemented in two phases. In detail, the first phase will achieve a processing capacity of 20,000 tonnes, while the second phase will expand the total capacity to 100,000 tonnes. Utilizing advanced crushing, sorting, and smelting technologies, the production line is expected to yield, annually, 50,000 tonnes of lithium battery mixed powder, 8,000 tonnes of copper granules, and 4,000 tonnes of aluminum granules, among other recycled resources.
