IAI: Global alumina output rises 5% YoY to over 154 million t in 2025

Global production of alumina, including both metallurgical-grade and chemical-grade material, amounted to 154.1 million tonnes in 2025, up by 5% from the previous year, according to the latest data released by the International Aluminium Institute (IAI).

On a daily basis, worldwide alumina production averaged 422,200 tonnes last year, marking a 5.3% on-year increase, Mysteel Global calculated based on the IAI data.
