Japan's Sumitomo Metal Mining recently released its production report for the fourth quarter of 2025 (the third quarter of fiscal year 2025). The report shows that the company produced a total of 21,900 tonnes in nickel content during the quarter, representing a decrease of 4.58% compared to the previous quarter but an increase of 16.38% year-on-year. This includes 16,600 tonnes of electrolytic nickel, 4,300 tonnes of nickel in nickel sulfate, and 1,000 tonnes of ferronickel.
In addition, Sumitomo's NAC nickel project in the Philippines produced 12,100 tonnes of nickel in nickel sulfide during the quarter, an increase of 22.22% quarter-on-quarter and 16.35% year-on-year.
