IAI: Global primary aluminum output tops 6.3 million t in January

Global primary aluminum output reached 6.32 million tonnes in January, up 1.3% on year, according to the latest data from the International Aluminium Institute (IAI).

On a daily basis, worldwide output averaged 203,774 tonnes per day during the month, also representing a 1.3% increase from a year earlier, Mysteel Global calculated based on the IAI's statistics. China, the world's largest primary aluminum producer, generated 3.79 million tonnes in January, increasing by 1.5% from a year
