Adani Ports, NMDC and Vale ink MOU to develop iron ore hub at Indian port

Gangavaram Port, located in eastern India's Andhra Pradesh state and just south of Visakhapatnam Port, the country's third largest, is to become a major iron ore hub, according to a statement from Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) which claims to be India's largest commercial ports operator.

APSEZ has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with India's state-run iron ore miner NMDC Limited and Brazilian mining giant Vale S.A. to develop an integrated iron ore blending facility and a dedicated Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Gangavaram Port, it announced on February 21. Under the MoU,
