Taiwan CSC's carbon steel sales fall 3% MoM in January

The total volume of carbon steel products sold by China Steel Corp (CSC), Taiwan's top integrated steel producer, declined in January to reach 592,083 tonnes, falling by 15,972 tonnes or 2.6% from the previous month, according to the company's latest release on its website.
With the decrease in carbon steel sales, the company reported a pre-tax loss of TWD 85.8 million ($2.7 million) in January, in sharp contrast to the pre-tax profit of TWD 378.8 million for last December, the release showed.   Local steel mills in Taiwan are still facing many challenges in their
