Construction is in full swing at the Hainan (Changjiang) Clean Energy High-Tech Industrial Park. The first phase of the first stage of the Hainan Trailblazer new material Technology Co., Ltd. Battery-Grade Lithium Carbonate New Technology R&D and Innovation Base Project, a provincial-level key project located within the park, has fully entered the final stage of equipment installation. As of the end of February, the overall construction progress of this stage has reached 85%, with all civil engineering work completed and equipment installation 80% finished. The project is expected to commence production in July this year.
It is understood that the project covers a total area of 889 mu, with a planned investment of Yuan 3.8 billion over five years to establish a production line with an annual capacity of 80,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate. The first phase of the project covers an area of 391 mu and will involve the construction of a 30,000-tonne lithium carbonate production line. This first phase is divided into two stages. Construction of the first stage began at the end of June 2024. Once operational in July 2026, it will achieve an annual output of 6,000 tonnes of battery-grade lithium carbonate, with an estimated annual production value reaching Yuan 1 billion.
