CVWorld: CNY blamed for 8% YoY fall in China's heavy truck sales in Feb

After January’s strong start, sales of heavy-duty trucks in China on a wholesale basis, namely from makers direct to dealers including for export, declined in February, with volume reaching around 75,000 units, lower by 8 % on year and 30% on month. This is according to a preliminary estimate released by the Beijing-headquartered Commercial Vehicle World, a well-recognized market intelligence provider on China's truck manufacturing sector.

If the estimate proves accurate, the combined heavy truck sales in the first two months of 2026 will surpass 180,000 units, still up 17% on year.
