NBS: China's Jan-Feb crude steel output falls 3.6% on year

For the first two months of this year, China's total crude steel output posted an on-year fall of 3.6% to reach 160.34 million tonnes, according to the latest release by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Monday morning.
Despite the on-year fall in total production, the country's daily crude steel output averaged 2.72 million tonnes/day over January-February, much higher than the average of 2.2 million t/d for December 2025, Mysteel Global calculated based on the NBS data.   Many domestic blast-furnace (BF) steel mills kept normal production during January-February
