NBS: China's Jan-Feb FAI rises 2%, property investment falls 11% YoY

China's fixed asset investment (FAI) increased by 1.8% on year to Yuan 5.27 trillion ($0.76 trillion) in the first two months of 2026, according to the latest release from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on March 16.

Within the total, funding for the country's property sector over January-February registered Yuan 961.2 billion, dwindling by 11.1% compared with the same period of 2025, the NBS data show. The rate of decrease was slower than the 17.2% on-year fall for last year's January-December period, however.
