On March 12, Zhejiang Weiming Environment Protection Co., Ltd. announced that the consortium led by the company, Weiming Nusantara Energy League Consortium, has successfully won the bid for a waste-to-energy project in the Bogor area of Indonesia. The project was tendered by PT Danantara Investment Management (DIM), Indonesia's sovereign investment fund, and marks the company's second waste-to-energy project win in Indonesia following the Bali project.
According to the announcement, the Bogor project, officially named "Development and Management of Environmentally Friendly Technology-Based Waste Processing into Electricity (BUPP PSEL) in Greater Bogor," plans to construct waste incineration and power generation facilities with a capacity of 1,500 tonnes per day using grate furnace technology. The cooperation period includes an approximately two-year construction phase, followed by a 30-year operational period after commercial operations commence.
