NBS: China's Jan-Feb pig iron production drops 2.7% YoY

China's pig iron production in January-February totalled 137.7 million tonnes, lower by 2.7% compared with the same period in the previous year, according to the latest data released by the country's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Monday morning.

The 2.7% drop in pig iron output was smaller than the 3.6% on-year decline recorded for the country's crude steel production during the first two months of this year, Mysteel Global noted.
