According to relevant media reports, BYD's power battery project (Xixian Base) has recently commenced trial production. Located in Qinhan New City, the project covers an area of 1,333 mu with a total investment of Yuan 7 billion. It serves as the first production base for BYD's second-generation Blade Battery and the core hub for the mass production of its flash charging technology, signifying that BYD's latest core battery technologies will take root in Shaanxi Province and drive the growth of the local industry.
The base boasts an annual production capacity of 16 GWh, sufficient to equip approximately 700,000 electric vehicles. Upon reaching full operation, its annual output value is projected to reach Yuan 8 billion, enabling fully automated, end-to-end in-house production.
