According to data from General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, imports of ternary cathode materials into China totaled 7,447 tonnes in January 2026. This represents a month-on-month increase of 375 tonnes, or 5.3%, and a significant year-on-year surge of 3,442 tons, or 85.9%.
In detail, imports of Lithium Nickel Cobalt Manganese Oxide (NCM type) stood at 5,881 tonnes, and that of Lithium Nickel Cobalt Aluminum Oxide (NCA type) reached 1,567 tonnes.
