On March 24, Sanchao Advanced Materials announced plans to invest approximately Yuan 240 million in a battery technology R&D experimental base focused on perovskite & silicon tandem technology, covering fundamental research, applied research, and mass production research.
The project will be carried out by a new wholly-owned subsidiary over a two-year period, funded by the company's own or self-raised capital. It will be advanced in two phases, targeting a module efficiency of 30% and the recruitment of 15-20 high-end professionals. The announcement also highlighted risks associated with technology, market conditions, talent, and project execution.
