Thailand's coal imports rise 5.5% in February

Thailand imported 1.79 million tonnes of coal in February, up 5.5% year on year but down 9.2% from January, according to the latest data from Thai Customs.
Thermal coal – including bituminous, sub-bituminous and lignite – accounted for most of the inbound volumes at 1.72 million tonnes, while anthracite imports totalled 60,196 tonnes and briquettes 1,358 tonnes, the data showed.     In the first two months of the year, Thailand's coal imports reached 3.75 million tonnes, up 10.9%
