On April 3, Changhong NewEnergy Technology announced that its holding subsidiary, Jiangsu Sunpower, plans to establish a new company in Malaysia to invest in and construct a high-rate lithium battery production base, with a total project investment of approximately Yuan 999 million. The construction period of the project is 1.5 years. Upon reaching full capacity, it will form an annual production capacity of 85 million units each of the 18650 and 21700 series battery cells, totaling 170 million units.
