GACC: China's iron ore imports rise 12% YoY in March

China's iron ore imports in March totaled 104.7 million tonnes, rising by a significant 11.5% from the same month last year, according to the latest statistics released by the country's General Administration of Customs (GACC) on April 14.

The March volume also marked a 7.3% increase from February, the GACC data showed, which partly reflected the recovery of iron ore shipments from Australia last month following fewer weather-related disruptions. Exporters had also staggered shipments in February to avoid vessels arriving during the nine-day Chinese New Year holiday
