Peru slaps AD duties on Chinese wire rod

Peru has imposed anti-dumping (AD) duties on wire rod originating in China, effective April 13, according to an announcement released by the government’s Dumping and Subsidies Commission in the country's official gazette El Peruano.

The steel products involved include low- and high-carbon unalloyed steel wire rod with smooth surfaces and circular cross-sections ranging between 5.5 mm and 16 mm in diameter, classified under HS codes of 7213.20.00.00, 7213.91.10.00, 7213.91.90.00 and 7213.99.00.00 The Lima government last November had terminated a provisional anti-dumping duty of $64.6/tonne imposed earlier on
