NBS: China's raw coal output remains stable on year in March

China's total output of raw coal reached 440.62 million tonnes in March, basically flat from the 440.58 million tonnes produced in March last year, according to the latest release from China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on April 16.

Rapid supply recovery characterized China's coal market last month. After the Chinese New Year (CNY) holiday over February 15-23, domestic coal miners had picked up their production, steadily increasing output of both coking and thermal coal throughout March. According to Mysteel's nationwide survey of 523 coking coal miners, by late
