NBS: China's Jan-Apr raw coal output remains steady on year

China's raw coal output over January-April totalled 1.58 billion tonnes, basically flat from the same period last year, according to the latest release by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) published on Monday morning.

During April alone, China's raw coal production reached 385.63 million tonnes, down 1% from the year-ago level, the NBS showed. Tracking data from Mysteel suggests that what led to the overall drop were declines in thermal coal output. During April, raw coal output among the 462 thermal coal miners under
