China Mar MTBE exports jump 52% MoM

China MTBE exports surged 51.73% month-on-month to 879,700 tonnes in March 2026, with cumulative Q1 exports up 118.93% year-on-year. However, April exports are expected to decline 14.74% to around 750,000 tonnes as domestic prices recover and arbitrage windows narrow.

The General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC) data show China's MTBE exports reached 879,700 tonnes in March 2026, up 299,900 tonnes or 51.73% from February.
