FLASH: India proposes lower AD duties on low-ash met coke imports

India's Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) has recommended that definitive anti-dumping duties be imposed on imports of low-ash metallurgical coke (ash content below 18%) from six countries, namely China, Colombia, Russia, Australia, Indonesia, and Japan.

The proposal, issued on April 28, 2026, sets country-specific duties ranging from $36.90/tonne to $128.83/t. The duties will apply retroactively from January 1, 2026 – the date when provisional anti-dumping measures were first levied – and will remain in force for five years, unless revoked, suspended or modified.
