CISA: Members' daily crude steel output declines in late April

Daily crude steel output among the member mills of the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) posted a retreat during April 21-30, with the tonnage down by 3.6% or 75,000 tonnes/day from the mid-April period to average 2.04 million t/d, according to the latest release from the association on May 8.
In addition, the average recorded a larger decline of 7.5% compared with the level over the same ten days last year, the results of the CISA survey indicated.   Based on the performance of its member mills, the association estimated that daily crude steel output among both member mills and non-member
