GACC: China's iron ore imports rise 8% YoY in Jan-Apr

China imported a total of 418.6 million tonnes of iron ore during January-April this year, an increase of 8% compared with the same period last year, according to the latest statistics released by the country's General Administration of Customs (GACC) on May 9.

In April alone, imports totaled 103.9 million tonnes, down 0.8% from March but up 0.7% on year, the GACC data showed.
